Bill Traylor Blue Snake. \u00a9<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Bill Traylor<\/strong><\/em>. \u00ab\u00a0N\u00e9 esclave dans la plantation de coton de George Hartwell Traylor, Bill Traylor est affranchi apr\u00e8s la guerre de S\u00e9cession, mais choisit de rester dans la plantation. Selon la l\u00e9gende, il aurait eu vingt-deux enfants. Il perd sa femme en 1938, d\u00e9m\u00e9nage \u00e0 Montgomery, o\u00f9 il travaille dans une fabrique de chaussures, puis, l\u2019\u00e2ge venant, devient \u00ab\u00a0homeless\u00a0\u00bb et dort dans une entreprise de pompes fun\u00e8bres. Il se met \u00e0 dessiner \u00e0 quatre-vingt-quatre anset passe ses journ\u00e9es sur les trottoirs de Monroe Street. For the exhibition <\/span>Marina Abramovi\u0107: The Artist Is Present<\/span><\/em>, The Museum of Modern Art\u2019s first performance retrospective, Abramovi\u0107 performed in the Donald B. and Catherine C. Marron Atrium every day the Museum was open between March 14 and May 31, 2010. Visitors were encouraged to sit silently across from the artist for a duration of their choosing, becoming participants in the artwork. This comprehensive photo gallery contains a record of each participant.
